More exciting rugby news at Newbridge RFC.

We are delighted to announce our new Strength and Conditioning Coach for the coming season.

This position will be filled by Ioan Lane.

Director of Rugby Dafydd Lloyd said “It’s great to have Ioan on board for what will be a tough season coming up. It will be new territory for us as a Club and I want to make sure we are in the best shape possible to achieve our goals. Ioan is a very committed coach who is very organised and brings a very enthusiastic and professional feeling to the Club. I am really looking forward to working with him this season.”

Ioan has a mixed background of coaching in both Rugby and Boxing. He is a qualified WABA Boxing Coach but cut his teeth with Rugby coaching starting with Tredegar under 14's and moving through the age grades before spending 4 years with the Dragons Ladies.

Since then he has moved onto Ebbw Vale in the Principality Premiership as assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach as well as running warm ups and supporting both the Backs and Head Coaches in their roles.
