Fixture

The Spartans were playing a home fixture at Ystrad Mynach 4G against Caerphilly (a team they had yet to beat).  The first half was an evenly matched game with both sides attacking and defending well, the Spartans managed to score the only try of the half just to the left of the posts and then it was converted, Half time Spartans 7 Caerphilly 0.  The second half was very much the same as the first, both sides playing the ball around the field but neither side breaking the others defence, the Spartans were held behind there 5m line for the last 5 minutes of the half, and it looked like Caerphilly were going to get a score, but the Spartans held strong and managed to steal the ball, giving it to Nye who managed to run it 20 metres up the line giving the Spartans some well earned breathing space taking them to the final whistle. Full time Spartans 7 Caerphilly 0.  A hard fought match from both sides and another positive performance for the Spartans. Well played boys!
