Fixture

The Spartans travelled away to play Penallta in the Dragons Plate.  From the kick off it was an evenly matched game with both sides attacking and defending well for long periods of half, but the Spartans prevailed with Leland getting through the Penallta defence in the 25th minute and scoring a try to the side of the posts, with Lewis W converting.  Another 5 minutes and Max broke through scoring the Spartans 2nd try, half time: Penallta 0 Newbridge 12.  The second half started like the first with lots of possesion from both sides, but Penallta were the first to strike after 15 minutes with their winger getting around the Spartans defence from their 22 and scoring under the posts.  The Spartans got back into the game and roughly 10 minutes later Leland intercepted a pass from Penallta and scored under the posts, Lewis converting. In the final minutes Finlay got past the defence and scored another try for the Spartans, with Lewis converting with the last kick of the game, Full time: Penallta 7, Newbridge 26.  Another good performance from the Spartans and onward in the Dragons Plate.
