Fixture

The Spartans were playing a home fixture at the Canal Fields against Rhymney (who knocked them out of the Dragons Cup).  The first half was was all Spartans with them putting in a lot of attacking play and spending the majority of the half in Rhymneys half.  Rhymney tried to put up a good defence but the Spartans were to strong and put 4 tries (2 converted) over the line, Half time Spartans 24 Rhymney 0.  The Spartans continued the second half like the first with good attacking rugby which Rhymney had trouble defending against, which the Spartans took full advantage of by putting another 4 tries (2 converted) against them.  Rhymney came back in the last 5 minutes and put a converted try in against the Spartans. Full time Spartans 48 Rhymney 7.  The Spartans put an outstanding performance in throughout the game and the coaches can only thank the boys for all the hard work and effort they showed, keep up the performances.
