YOUTH HIGH FROM SEMI-FINAL WIN

There just is no substitute for power, speed and sheer out and out rugby class.  Week in week out the Dragons Youth Division  "D" Champions have proved this.  As a team of under 17s in their first year of youth they have out played older and bigger lads consistently.  Last night they dealt out a demonstration once more.  Against a "Rhymney Youth" team containing regular 1st XV players and who knows how many "permit" players from other teams they dealt out a hefty 36-0 lesson to their opponents in a game that finished 15 minutes early due to the baa baas somehow managing to run out of players.  "Rhymney Youth" finished second in the Dragons "B" Division this season but were no match for the best from 2 divisions below.  Trys were scored by Ethan Chess, Luke Shore, Tom Deinko, Garin Price, Morgan Thomas and Zac Hewlett.  The one thing that definitely could be said about this game was how it finished with everybody on a high - The Caerphilly Plate Final against Risca will be played next week probably at Blackwood.  Match report for last night to follow - picture is Tom Deinko after handing off his winger and rounding him just before crossing the line.
