Fixture

On the back of 2 good performances, there were high hopes that the Spartans could put in another winning performance at the Welfare ground against Monmouth.  The first half was evenly matched with the spartans doing a lot of defensive work in their own half, when they managed to get the ball there were a lot of handling errors which seen Monmouth turn over the ball repeatedly.  The only score of the first half came from Monmouth when they manged to break the Spartan defence and score in the corner.  The second half was pretty much the same, more handling errors and turn overs, there was a good 10 minute performance which seen the Spartans break the Monmouth defence and score.  Monmouth came straight back into the game and broke the Spartan line and managed to put another score on the board and thats how the game ended, 2 scores to 1.  There were some good performances but just to many errors on the day, anothe day and another Ref then the game may of been ours!
