Fixture

The Spartans travelled to Senghenydd on a cold dry morning, kick off and the first half was under way, with evenly matched teams it was very close first 10 minutes with neither side breaking defensively.  The Spartans then managed to break the line with Leland scoring the 1st try for the spartans and Nye then converted. The next 15 minutes seen the spartans put another 2 tries down from Ashton and Leland and then they conceded a try before half time which seen them ending the half 17-7 up.  The second half was again close between the 2 teams with Senghenydd scoring the 1st try and bringing the score back to within 3 points, but the spartans kept their nerve and after some good attacking play Finlay managed to get the ball over the try line with Nye converting again, with good defensive play for the remaining time the spartans finished with a good win 24-14.  The coaches give their praise to all players for a fantastic tem effort and hopefully the winning will continue.
