Fixture

After a big defeat last week the Spartans were looking for win against Newport High School Old Boys. A poor start to the game with the NHSOB catching the initial kick and running straight through the Spartan defence and scoring a try, 30 seconds gone and 5 points behind! The spartans then came back into the game and were holding there own against NHSOB and scored and converted with the halftime whistle being blown and the score 7 a piece.The second half saw the Spartans playing better rugby but still with some defensive mistakes and with 10 minutes left on the clock the Spartans were 28 to 21 in front and then disaster struck, with poor defensive mistake the Spartans let NHSOB score 3 quick tries and the game finished with another loss to the Spartans. Final score Spartans 28- NHSOB 40.  Overall the performance by individuals in the team was good, but they are still not gelling as a team yet, once that happens they will be able to beat the best teams out there!
